LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, the aim is that the participant should have acquired knowledge of the principles of Dynamic Positioning.

• Set up a dynamic positioning system and have an understanding of the practical operation of associated equipment including position referencing systems
• Recognise and respond to the various alarms, warning and information messages
• Relate the DP installation to the ship’s system e.g. power supply, manoeuvring facility, available position referencing systems and nature of work
• Relate DP Operations to the existing environmental conditions of wind, sea state, current and vessel movement

CONTENT

• Definition of DP, elements of the DP system, DP systems redundancy, and Class Requirements
• Functions of the DP system, and DP principles
• Different types of DP vessels and DP operations, sensors and use of sensor inputs
• Introduction to position reference systems and the DP system’s use of position measurements
• Vessel capability, DP consequence analysis and DP capability analysis
• Thrusters and manoeuvring systems
• Power systems and Blackout Prevention
• Operational procedures for DP operation, and procedures for operating the DP system
• Study of DP incidents
• Principal use of the DP system

LEARNING PROCESS

The training will be a combination of theoretical lessons and practical exercises. During the course each participant will have his own operator station with generic DP software.

CERTIFICATE

Certification of attendance will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

This course includes all subjects needed to prepare candidates for the rotary drilling well control exam, surface and subsea BOP stack on driller level (Level 3).

This course includes all subjects needed to prepare candidates for the rotary drilling well control exam, surface and subsea BOP stack at supervisor level (Level 4).

A printed course manual and exercise book is provided for all attendees. The IWCF exam is included in the course.

The course has been made on basis of the recommendations for enhancements to well control training, issued by the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (OGP).

The purpose of the training is to provide crane operators and signalers with good basic knowledge and practical skills about the safe use of lifting equipment G11 Slingers and banksman so that mishaps and accidents in connection with use are avoided. Participants will have the necessary knowledge of the laws, regulations and standards that apply.

Objective:

The purpose of the training is to provide crane operators, banksman / signalers with good general basic training in the safe use of lifting equipment, so that accidents and incidents in connection with use are avoided.

Learning Objectives:

Personnel who use lifting equipment G11 in connection with slingers and banksman and signaling with cranes and rigging.

The course is aimed at those who will become inspectors of fall protection equipment. The course is also aimed at people who carry out repairs and maintenance of fall protection equipment or people who want to expand their professional competence. The course runs over 2 days including a practical part with the completion of a control and test. 16 hours.

Basic general safety training for scaffold users in accordance with Regulations on the execution of work best. 703.

The aim of the training at the scaffold user course is that the person who is given the training acquires basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the safe use of scaffolding, so that accidents during use are avoided.

The employer must provide practical training on relevant scaffolding in accordance with regulations on the execution of work § 17-5. Competence certificates are issued after both documented and practical training has been provided.

Objective:

Business-tailored courses that are carried out at Gantic or the client's place, and where the client's scaffolding is used as a basis for the training.

The course runs over one day of classroom teaching and a final knowledge test. A successful course qualifies for a certificate of competence in scaffolding.

Scaffolding courses provide basic general safety training for scaffolders in accordance with Regulations on the execution of work best. 703. The scaffolding course is aimed at those who will build/install, change and check scaffolding up to 9 metres.

Objective:

Implementation

The scaffolding course runs over two days with classroom teaching and a final knowledge test. After completing the theory part of the scaffolding course, the participant must have 15 hours of practice on the relevant type of scaffolding.

The practical part can be carried out in different ways:

Objective:

The aim of the Scaffold Builder training is for those who are given the training to acquire basic theoretical and practical knowledge about the safe use of scaffolding, so that accidents during use are avoided.

Content:

The scaffolding course takes place over one day of classroom teaching and a final knowledge test. After completing the theory course, the participant must have 7.5 hours of practice on the type of scaffold in question.

The practical part can be carried out in different ways:

Objective: The purpose of the training is to provide the prospective winch operator with a good theoretical basic training in the safe use of winches with associated equipment.

The training gives participants good insight into the principles of electric, pneumatic and hydraulically driven winches' design, operation, use and maintenance, so that accidents in connection with winch operations are avoided.

Målsettingen med opplæringen er at den som gis opplæring tilegner seg tilstrekkelige kunnskaper om sikker bruk av offshorekraner og fastmonterte hydrauliske kraner, slik at ulykker ved bruk unngås.

Opplæringen dekker den teoretiske sikkerhetsopplæringen som kreves for G5 Offshorekran.

Innlevering:

En e-læringsmodul på ca 45 min må gjennomføres før du møter til praktisk trening på kurssenteret.
