Course Description:- Deck module 1 consists of five lessons; this course focuses on various checks, including checking the general housekeeping, the deck equipment and machinery, the LSA and FFA in general and the emergency preparedness, how to test various associated deck equipment and ensure all the equipment is ready for immediate use. This course will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the aft deck area and will be able to ensure that the aft deck is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out in specific areas like the Garbage holding area, the Ballast treatment plant compartment, the Oxygen acetylene storage and the CO2 room, and will be able to ensure that these areas are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the emergency generator room, and will be able to ensure that the emergency generator compartment is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the aft mooring areas and will be able to ensure that the mooring areas and the machinery therein are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out in the paint locker and sample locker and will be able to ensure that these areas are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.

Course Description:- The Bridge Module 3 consists of five virtual tours; here, you will be guided on how to check various bridge equipment, test various alarms, and ensure you keep all the equipment correctly set for safe navigation. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors, and you will be guided on how to go about an inspection and look for shortcomings like an inspector. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to: · Demonstrate the checking of the VDR and the associated HRU and also be aware of the requirement to save VDR data in case of an incident. · Demonstrate how to test the EPIRB and SART and will also be able to carry out checks associated with this equipment. · Carry out an inspection of the ancillary bridge equipment such as the rate of turn indicator, RPM indicator, rudder angle indicator, telegraph console, the navigational and Christmas tree light console etc. · Carry out an inspection of the battery room and monkey island and will be able to pick up findings similar to an inspector. · Correctly fill and complete the various log books such as Deck log book, compass error book, movement book etc. · Explain the general contents of the Masters standing orders.

Course Description:- The Bridge Module 2 consists of six virtual tours; here, you will be guided on how to go about UKC Calculations, various steps involved in passage planning, various features of the ECDIS, and most importantly, the various safety settings on an ECDIS. How to carry out various checks, test various alarms, and set the correct settings for safe navigation. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to · Make a passage plan and be able to explain the various stages involved in it, that is, planning, appraisal, monitoring and execution. · Calculate UKC for various stages of a passage and explain the company’s UKC policy. · Demonstrate the various features of an ECDIS, such as SCAMIN, CATZOC, Sensor settings, Importing /exporting passage plans, etc. · Clearly state the difference between safety depth, safety contour, shallow contour and deep contour and how to set the alarm.

Course Description:- This course deals with the Pumproom. Here you are guided through various checks to be carried out in the pump room, starting from the entrance and working our way down to the bottom platform, carrying out the various checks done by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this course, the candidate will be able to demonstrate the various checks carried out in a pump room inspection.

Course Description:- This course deals with the Emergency headquarters and the foam room. Here you are guided through various equipment and explained the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this course, the candidate will be able to: · Demonstrate the various checks carried out on the foam operating system. · Demonstrate the various checks carried out in the emergency headquarters.

Course Description:- This course focuses on the cargo control room; you will be guided on how to carry out checks, including checking to see various posters and information displayed, checking to see various alarm settings, important documentation checks and ensuring all the equipment, documentation, and recordkeeping is ready for immediate use. This course will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this course, the candidate will be able to demonstrate the various general checks and tests that are carried out whilst inspecting the CCR and will be able to ensure that the CCR is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.

Course Description:- Deck Module 3 consists of only one virtual tour. This course will focus on the Forecastle area. Here, you will be guided on how to carry out checks of various items, including checking the general housekeeping, the deck equipment and machinery found in the forecastle to ensure that all the equipment is ready for immediate use. This course will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to: · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the forecastle area and will be able to ensure that the forecastle is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks and tests that are carried out in the forecastle store, and will be able to ensure that this area is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.

This course focuses on the final checks for arrival; on the bridge, deck, accommodation and forecastle to ensure the vessel is compliant in all respects and ready for any inspection. At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to: · Demonstrate the various general checks and tests that are carried out in the accommodation & aft deck to ensure that the accommodation & aft deck are fit for use and compliant during an inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks and tests that are carried out on the bridge on arrival which ensures the bridge is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks and tests that are carried out on the upper deck & forecastle on arrival and will be able to ensure that the upper deck & forecastle is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.
