Course Description:- The Bridge Module 1 consists of six virtual tours; here, you will be guided on how to carry out checks of various bridge equipment, how to test various alarms, and how to ensure you keep all the equipment correctly set for safe navigation. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to · Demonstrate the various checks to be carried out on the gyro and magnetic compass. · Clearly explain and demonstrate the setting on the radar and how to carry out a performance test. · Set the Navtex correctly, explain the various messages received and the importance of maintaining a record. · Explain the importance of the BNWAS and how it works. · Explain the various GMDSS equipment, the test, and checks to be carried out, including the printers.
