Who is this course for?

This course is designed for all officers of the bridge team involved in ensuring the safe navigation of the vessel.

Is previous experience required?

ECDIS Generic knowledge, as per STCW and IMO Model Course 1.27, is highly recommended.

This course provides officers with the system knowledge required to use this ECDIS for watchkeeping in accordance with the regulations of STCW and the ISM Code.

Who is this course for?

This course is for all seafarers working in machinery spaces. 

Is previous experience required?

This course is targeted at all seafarers working in machinery spaces and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

This course will provide you with an overview of how to minimise the risks of machinery space fires and how to tackle them if they do occur.

By ensuring that all personnel are familiar with the actions needed to minimise the risk of machinery space fires and the steps needed to control them if they do happen.

Yes, there is an assessment with a pass mark of 70% and 2 attempts.

Any deck officer or deck rating involved in cargo operations on timber carriers.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

This course explains the effects of silence, the barriers to speaking up, and how to break silence using two tools. It also presents examples of how to use these tools on a group or an individual.
