Who is this course for?

This FSE High and Low Voltage Training course is suitable for everyone working on low and high voltage installations.

Is previous experience required?

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course, but it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

How will this course benefit me?

The course meets the requirements set in Section 7 of the ‘Safety Regulations for Work and Operation of Electrical Equipment and Installations – FSE’ which is that all relevant personnel undertake annual training and instruction in FSE. The course also provides the necessary training and instruction in first aid, focusing on electrical injuries, with the exception of the mandatory practical training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The regulations of various authorities make FSE applicable to all those working with electricity, whether on board ship, on platforms or on land. This course is suitable for all, regardless of which industry you work in.

The authorities require that training in FSE and first aid in the event of electrical accidents is undertaken at least once a year. No more than 12 months shall elapse between training courses.

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

The purpose of the course is to prevent noise-induced hearing impairment. You will learn how loud sound and noise affect us. You will also learn how you can properly protect yourself against noise and why that is so important.

The course is based on the current rules and regulations for working in areas where there is a risk of being exposed to noise that may be damaging to health.

This course relates to how best practice, your attitudes, behavior and knowledge can prevent dropped objects and enhance the safety of you and your colleagues.

The content of this course is in compliance with Working Together for Safety’ handbook; Best practice - Dropped object Prevention. The course is developed by the same personnel who also developed collaboration for safety's handbook, Best practice - Dropped object Prevention, under the auspices of Equinor, a team with decades of experience within prevention, identification and controlling of dropped objects throughout the oil and gas industry.

The e-learning course, “Fire Prevention during Hot Work”, has been quality controlled by the Norwegian Fire Prevention Association and designed is to satisfy the requirements set by the insurance industry.

The course aims to reduce the number of fires caused by hot work and improve knowledge about the risk of fire during hot work.

Please Note! 

- Practical training must be completed within 3 months of (before or after) the eLearning

- Proof of practical is required to be sent to learningcentre@mintra.com

- Approved practical instructors list is available here https://www.brannvernforeningen.no/sertifisering/varme-arbeider/instruktorsok

- If these conditions are not met, Mintra cannot apply for your certificate

- You may be required to repeat the eLearning or practical again if conditions are not met in full

- Digital Certificates are issued from the Norwegian Fire Prevention Association (included in course fee)

- Plastic card certificates will incur an extra fee of NOK 450
