At the beginning of the course you can take a pre-test, where you get the opportunity to show your skills. If you pass the pre-test, you do not have to go through the entire course.

The goal of this course is that all personnel who use hazardous work equipment, will gain good knowledge of HSE when using work equipment. The course deals with personnel requirements, roles and responsibilities, as well as accidents and regulations on safety.

In addition, the course requires that practical training is conducted on applicable work equipment.

The course covers the following topics:

• Work equipment in general

• Use of work equipment

• Selection of work equipment

• Training in the use of work equipment

• Workspaces and personnel requirements

• Risk assessment

• Safety, accidents and liability

• Direct and underlying causes of accidents

• Relevant laws and regulations

The course includes exercises, and final test with 30 questions.

Norwegian authorities demand that employees who need to use fall protection equipment in their line of work have been given sufficient training in the use of this equipment. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure the employees have received this training. The course provides basic theoretical knowledge of fall protection measures and equipment.

Objective:
The course gives insights into fall theory and common fall protection methods and equipment. It raises safety awareness and helps prevent accidents and injuries at the workplace.

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

Hensikten med opplæringen er å gi blivende riggere en god praktisk grunnopplæring i sikker bruk av riggerutstyr. Opplæringen skal gi elevene god innsikt i prinsippene for riggutstyrets konstruksjon, virkemåte, bruk og vedlikehold, slik at uhell og ulykker i forbindelse med riggoperasjoner unngås. Riggoperasjon: Bruk og sammenstilling av transportabelt løfteutstyr og/ eller manuelle/ kraftdrevne vinsjer, taljer etc. som benyttes ved horisontal og/ eller vertikal forflytning av last. Opplæringen dekker den nødvendige teoretiske og praktiske opplæringen som er nødvendig for å kunne gjennomføre selvstendige riggoperasjoner. Opplæringen avsluttes med en praktisk prøve.

Modul O-2.2: Fallsikring - Søylesvingkran / enkel traverskran - Taljer / vinsjer. (16 timer opplæring).

Modul O-3.2: Rigging (32 timer opplæring) Beviset kan utstyres med opplæringsbedriftens/virksomhetens logo.
