This course is made for personnel who organize or perform: planning, installation, inspection and maintenance of Ex equipment.

The course gives an introduction and repetition in different subjects treated in the IEC 60079 Standard (NEK EN 60079).

The course duration is 5 hours and is valid for 5 years

The course can also be taken as a refresher course for Ex maintenance

Themes:

• Fundamental Ex philosophy, refresher

• Preparing and installing electrical equipment in hazardous areas

• Inspection and maintenance of electrical equipment in Ex areas

• Understand what maintenance tasks can be done locally, and what must be performed by an authorized workshop

• Give candidates for CompEx certification a solid background for the theoretical assessment

This course is intended to provide the user with a general understanding of the need for and the basic principles of proper cargo securing onboard vessels. The course consists of seven chapters followed by control questions. The course focuses on increasing the knowledge of the forces acting on cargo at sea and the potential consequences of cargo shifting. It also focuses on the strength and proper usage of cargo securing equipment, as well as methods for assessing the suitability of cargo securing arrangements. This course has been updated as of October 2022 to reflect new working practices and expand the information.

Uansett hvor sikkert og robust petroleumsvirksomheten drives, vil feil, fare- og ulykkessituasjoner kunne oppstå. Derfor må det være etablert barrierer som beskytter mot ulykker. I dette grunnleggende kurset gjennomgås de viktigste begrepene innen barrierestyring for å sikre en felles forståelse av disse.

Kurset er basert på Proactima sin modell for helhetlig barrierestyring og bygger på Havtils’ Barrierenotat 2017. Bidragsyterne til innholdet er personell fra Proactima har teknisk og operasjonell erfaring med barrierestyring. Det er lagt vekt på en tilnærming som legger til rette for praktisk forståelse ved at brannen på Hammerfest LNG i 2020 brukes gjennomgående som eksempel. Kurset avsluttes med en test, hvor deltakeren må svare ritkig på minst 70% av spørmålene for å bestå kurset.

E-læringskurset kan være enkeltstående, eller brukes som et underlag for  en videre fordypning utover Havtil sitt barrierenotat. Proactima tilbyr slik fordyping i form av et videregående kurs som gjennomføres med foreleser, enten digitalt eller med fysisk oppmøte. Det videregående kurset skal gjøre deltakerne i stand til å etablere, følge opp og forbedre barrierestyringssystem i eget selskap/installasjonog gi innsyn i en praktisk metode for barrierestyring i drift. The exam includes questions on the theory aspects covered during the initial eLearning AND the activities completed during the onboard assessment. You should not attempt the exam until you have completed both aspects of the training.

 

Certificate: 

When the training is completed, a certificate is issued by the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

The Norwegian Maritime Authority charge an additional fee to issue the formal STCW Certificate.

 

Course Description:- The LSA and FFA inspection Module 1 consists of four virtual tours. Here, you will be guided on how to carry out checks of the life rafts and various types of lifeboats as well as rescue boats, how to test various associated equipment and ensure all the equipment is ready for immediate use. This course will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to: · Demonstrate the various checks carried out on a life raft and will be able to ensure life rafts are compliant in all respects, ready for an inspection and ready for immediate use. · Demonstrate the various checks carried out on a free fall lifeboat as well as a totally enclosed lifeboat and will be able to ensure the lifeboats are compliant in all respects, ready for an inspection and ready for immediate use. · Demonstrate the various checks carried out on a rescue boat and will be able to ensure the rescue boat is compliant in all respects, ready for an inspection and ready for immediate use.

It is also a culture where deliberate misconduct may result in disciplinary action.

 

This course discusses what 'just culture' is and why it is important. It outlines the characteristics of a just culture to check if such characteristics are embodied by the crew on board a vessel. It presents the Just culture response map, a tool to help manage crew behaviours towards a strong just culture. It also talks about the categories of behaviours, as well as judgment and responses that are aligned with just culture.

This course provides an introduction to the understanding of gas in high risk work situations.  It describes real dangers and explains about the most common types of gas.  The course provides increased understanding and knowledge of elements of risk when working in areas exposed to gas, and knowledge of how best to protect yourself, and others, using proper equipment.
