This course will provide an understanding of marine steam boilers. You will gain knowledge about various constructional types of boilers, including fire/smoke tube boilers and water tube boilers. You will also explore boiler heat sources, focusing on oil-fired boilers, exhaust gas boilers, and composite boilers. You will gain an understanding of steam applications on board and the boiler feed water testing requirements.

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 70%.
