Upon completion of this course, the student will have a basic understanding of how to deal with barricaded individuals or individuals who may take hostages. Team composition and roles are discussed. Guidance for initial contact is provided along with avoidance of trigger words that may agitate the situation. Logistical concerns that may impact the incident are discussed. Finally, what to expect at the conclusion of an event is covered. This course was specifically designed for passenger vessels.

Seafarers spend long times away from home, working in close quarters with limited opportunities for physical activity, and often poor access to healthy food options. This combination of factors can lead to weight gain and obesity, which can, in turn, lead to serious health problems such as diabetes, heart disease and stroke.

 

In this course, we will learn more about obesity and what we can do for weight management.

In the first part of this course, you will setup the essentials for your coding journey. It is highly recommended to take these courses in order. There are two other courses that should be taken prior to taking this training, these are Table Setting and Food Service Skills Part 1 and Part 2.
