The sponsoring course provides basic knowledge of the requirements placed on sponsors and employers for driving training, module 4, in a company.

Objective:

The course is aimed at sponsors, safety representatives, HSE officers and others who are responsible for the sponsor training being carried out in a safe and correct way so that accidents during driving training are avoided.

The aim of the sponsor course is for the sponsor who is responsible for internal driving training to acquire basic knowledge about how to carry out the sponsor training, so that accidents when driving are avoided.

Content:

The course takes place over one day of classroom teaching, discussions, group assignments, practice assignments and ends with a knowledge test. Completed course qualifies for a certificate of competence .

Course Description:-

This Bundle consist of 23 modules; this gives an insight as to what questions to expect at a third-party inspection, and it also ensures that the candidate is familiar with the ship-specific details and the company requirements.

The modules are not exhaustive, but they will empower the candidate on dealing with third-party inspectors professionally.

The candidate will get a preview of real situations on board, and how they could deal with the situation, in case the candidate is unsure, there are options to choose from; this module has a score and a little anger meter on the top right of the screen so the candidate will be able to judge the expressions of the inspector and also get a score to know how he/she performed.

It also serves as a refresher training before any inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence. 

It will help combine your knowledge, core competency, your soft skills, your situational awareness and your attitude and empower you to be an efficient member of the vessel’s team.

It will assure the candidate on how to deal with third-party Inspectors professionally and how to handle the situation maturely. It also serves as a refresher training before any inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence.  

 

Learning Objectives:-

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to

Confidently answer any third-party inspector and will be able to demonstrate or answer any question asked regarding LSA, FFA, safety procedures, environmental procedures, watchkeeping, equipment related, documentation or certification.  

Understand the responsibility and importance of having the right attitude when dealing with third-party inspectors.

Understand the consequences of a poor attitude whilst answering third-party inspectors.

Have self-confidence and self-assurance whilst dealing with third-party inspectors. 

Understand the importance of good housekeeping, accurate record keeping and complying with the Company SMS, International statutory and Flag state requirements

After completing the training, the participant must be able to:

Describe risk factors and identify barriers

Contribute to increased safety on offshore installations

Perform life-saving first aid

Evacuate from helicopter

Prevent fires and put out smaller fires

Evacuate from offshore facilities in escape chute and raft

Wear a survival suit sea


Prerequisites:

The following courses satisfy the prerequisites for participation in gsk rep with e-learning:

Basic safety course

STCW Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1) Approved by National Maritime Authority

OPITO 5700 - Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS)

OPITO 5858 - Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) with Emergency Breathing System (EBS).

Certified maritime personnel who have completed HUET at a Offshore Norway qualified course provider during the last 60 months do not need to complete Topic 3.0 Helicopter evacuation.

The duration of the course corresponds to 2 course days, where the first day is e-learning and can be completed when the participant wants, but in advance of the practice day.


Submission:

The e-learning must be completed in its entirety before you attend practical exercises at the course center.
