The Norwegian authorities require that employees who use lifts (personnel lifts) must be able to document practical and theoretical training in their use. The employer is responsible for ensuring that employees receive the necessary training. (“Regulations regarding the execution of work” no. 1357, section 10-2 Requirements regarding documented safety training in the use of work equipment.) The course provides a basic theoretical and practical introduction to the safe use of lifts (personnel lifts). A certificate of competence is issued to participants in order to fulfil the legislation’s documentation requirements.
Objective: To provide course participants with increased knowledge and awareness of safety measures in order to avoid injuries and accidents at the workplace.

Etter kurset vil du ha god kunnskap om:

Roller og ansvar: Hvem gjør hva under en løfteoperasjon og hvordan kommuniserer man effektivt?

Regelverk og standarder: Lover, forskrifter og bransjestandarder (som NORSOK) som gjelder for kranoperasjoner.

Krandokumentasjon og kontroll: Hvilke papirer kreves og hvordan kontrolleres kranen før og etter bruk?

Kranens konstruksjon og funksjon: Hvordan er kranen bygd opp og hvordan fungerer de ulike delene?

Sikkerhetssystemer: Nødstopp, overlastvern og andre viktige sikkerhetsfunksjoner.

Kapasitet og begrensninger: Hvordan lese lastdiagrammer og forstå værforholdenes påvirkning.

Hvem passer G5, modul P-3.1 kurset for?

Modul P-2.1 G20 Fastmontert hydraulisk kran teori er spesielt utviklet for personer som skal operere fastmonterte kraner i petroleumsindustrien. Målgruppen er delt inn i to grupper basert på type kran de skal operere:

• Deg som skal operere offshorekran (G5) eller lett offshorekran (G5L) og trenger sertifisert opplæring.

• Deg som skal operere fastmontert kran (G20) og trenger dokumentert opplæring.

 

Krav til forkunnskaper, modul P-2.1

• Modul 1 – Grunnleggende HMS og G11 Løfteredskap (Stropp-/ og anhuker). Kurset går i forkant av alle våre kranførerkurs.

• Deltagere må være minst 18 år gamle. Opplæringen kan imidlertid starte når en person har fylt 17 år.

 

Kursinformasjon for G20 kurset, modul P-2.1

Varighet: 16 timer (2 dager).

Form: Teoretisk undervisning med avsluttende prøve.

Sertifisering/Dokumentasjon: Etter bestått kurs mottar du enten et sertifikat (for G5/G5L) eller dokumentasjon på bestått kurs.

Kurset koster kr. 12.945,- og er inkludert læremateriell.

 

Vurdering og Sertifisering

For å være kvalifisert for den avsluttende evalueringen, må deltakerne ha vært til stede under hele den planlagte undervisningstiden.

Opplæringsprogrammet avsluttes med en skriftlig eksamen.

Crane documentation and inspection: What paperwork is required and how is the crane inspected before and after use?

Crane design and function: How is the crane constructed and how do the various parts work?

Safety systems: Emergency stop, overload protection and other important safety features.

Capacity and limitations: How to read load diagrams and understand the impact of weather conditions.

Winches, steel wire ropes, and lifting equipment: Safe use and maintenance of this important equipment.

Planning and risk assessment: How to plan lifting operations and identify potential hazards.

 

Who is the G5, module P-2.1 course suitable for?

Module P-2.1 G20 Fixed Hydraulic Crane Theory is specially designed for people who will be operating fixed cranes in the petroleum industry. The target group is divided into two groups based on the type of crane they will be operating:

• Those who will be operating offshore cranes (G5) or light offshore cranes (G5L) and need certified training.

• Those who will operate fixed cranes (G20) and need documented training.

 

Prerequisites, module P-2.1

• Module 1 – Basic HSE and module 2.3 G11 Lifting Equipment (Sling/and hook). The course precedes all our crane operator courses.

• Participants must be at least 18 years old. However, training can begin when a person has reached the age of 17.

 

Course information for module P-2.1

Duration: 16 hours (2 days).

Form: Theoretical instruction with final exam.

Certification/Documentation: After passing the course, you will receive either a certificate (for G5/G5L) or documentation of successful completion of the training.

 

Assessment and Certification

To be eligible for the final assessment, participants must have been present for the entire scheduled teaching time.

The training program concludes with a final assessment, which in this case is a written exam.

After completing the course, you will have a solid knowledge of:

Regulatory framework: Understanding of the “Activity Regulations” and “Regulations on the Performance of Work” that govern offshore crane operations.

Industry standards: In-depth knowledge of key European (EN 13852-1 & 2) and Norwegian (NORSOK R-002 & R-003N) standards for the design, technical requirements, and safe use of offshore cranes.

Operation and limitations: Knowledge of the crane's operational characteristics, forces affecting the lift, and limitations related to weather and sea conditions.

Planning and risk understanding: How to plan and assess the risks of complex lifting operations to ensure safe execution.

Communication and procedures: Effective communication and correct procedures during lifting operations to ensure the safety of all personnel.

Roles and responsibilities: A clear understanding of the division of responsibilities between the various roles in an offshore lifting operation.

 

Who is the G5, module P-3.1 course suitable for?

This course is for those who want to become certified operators of G5 offshore cranes. The course is a legal requirement for personnel who will operate offshore cranes in the Norwegian petroleum industry and is the second step in the theoretical part of the training program.

 

Prerequisites for the G5 course, module P-3.1

Module 1 – Basic HSE (health, safety and environment)

Module 2.3 – G11 Lifting Equipment (Sling/and Hooks).

Module P-2.1 – G20 Fixed Hydraulic Crane Theory. This module must be passed before you can start P-3.1.

 

Participants must be at least 18 years old to be issued with the certificate of competence. However, training can begin once you have reached the age of 17.

 

NB! Module P-3.1 must be completed before you can start the practical training in modules P-4.1 (simulator) and P-4.1.1 (practice).

 

Course information for the G5 course, module P-3.1

Duration: 24 hours (3 days).

Format: Theoretical instruction with final exam.

Certification: After passing the course, you will receive a course certificate documenting that you have completed the mandatory theory portion for G5 Offshore Crane, which is a step toward full certification.
