This course has been developed to provide learners with an understanding of the significance of corporate community relationships, how to identify stakeholders, increase their knowledge of community engagement initiatives and how to measure the success of community relations programs.

According to Harvard Business Review, globally, a third of all professionally managed assets, roughly worth USD 30 Tn are subject to ESG criteria. Since 2016, a 30% rise in ESG funds has been noted. By 2020, investors poured more than USD 70 Bn into ESG Equity Funds. These numbers reflect the broadened focus in the investor community around the growing awareness around sustainable business practices. It underscores the rising consciousness around long-term impact created by businesses in society and the planet. However, the metrics around ESG can be narrow and may fail to capture the complexity of driving social and environmental changes in the way business is done.

In this course, we will look at how ESG impact for a business is measured. We will also learn how to ask the right questions to build a broader understanding of a business’ adherence to the spirit and intent of ESG.
