This course consists of 2 modules. This gives an insight as to what to expect during a Class/Flag annual inspection. 

The Course is surely not exhaustive, but it surely will empower the candidate on how to deal with a Class/Flag Inspector professionally and how to handle the situation maturely and answer correctly.

It also serves as a refresher training before the actual Class/Flag inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence. 

In this course,  

1) You will be guided on what to expect during a Class/Flag inspection, the precautions to take, the various types of deficiencies and ship categories. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors.

2) It will help combine your knowledge, core competency, your soft skills, your situational awareness and your attitude and empower you to be an efficient member of the vessel’s team.

3) It will assure the candidate on how to deal with third-party Inspectors professionally and how to handle the situation maturely. 

 

Learning Objectives:-

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to

1) Carry out systematic checks and tests and tests in the same way a Class/Flag inspector would check your vessel; this will ensure that these spaces are compliant and ready for inspection.

2) Keep all the required documents and certificates ready for an inspection prior to the Class/Flag inspector boarding the vessel.

3) List the various parameters/points on how a boat and fire drill is evaluated by the Class/Flag inspector and can prepare the crew accordingly.

4) Understand the responsibility and importance of having the right attitude when dealing with third-party inspectors, 

5) Understand the importance of good housekeeping, accurate record keeping and complying with the Company SMS, International statutory, Flag state and Class requirements 

6) Confidently carry out any test or reply to any question asked by the Class/Flag inspector, which in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence.
