This bundle consists of 5 modules dealing with the inspection of the aft deck area.

This bundle focuses on the aft deck area and focuses on various checks, including checking the general housekeeping, the deck equipment and machinery, the LSA and FFA in general and the emergency preparedness, how to test various associated deck equipment and ensure all the equipment is ready for immediate use. 

1) You will be guided on how to carry out various checks in specific areas like the Garbage holding area, the Ballast treatment plant compartment, the Oxygen acetylene storage and the CO2 room. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors.

2) It will help combine your knowledge, core competency, your soft skills, your situational awareness and your attitude and empower you to be an efficient member of the vessel’s team.

3) It will assure the candidate on how to deal with third-party Inspectors professionally and how to handle the situation maturely. It also serves as a refresher training before any inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence.

 

Learning Objectives:-

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to:

 · Demonstrate and carry out systematic checks and tests whilst inspecting the aft deck area and will be able to ensure that the aft deck is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.

This Bundle consist of 17 modules. This gives an insight as to what questions to expect at a third-party inspection, and it also ensures that the candidate is familiar with the ship-specific details and the company requirements.

The modules are definitely not exhaustive, but they surely will empower the candidate on how to deal with third-party inspectors professionally, how to handle the situation maturely and answer correctly.

1) The candidate will learn about emergency preparedness, various checks and tests carried out for LSA, FFA and oil spill equipment.

2) They are introduced to the Marpol and Solas requirements and systematically explained various work permits, with a special focus on enclosed space and hot work permits.

3) The MLC, ISPS, ISM code and safety culture, including Risk assessments, are broken down for proper understanding.

4) The section on mooring equipment and procedures, Safe access and bunkering procedures   are explained in depth, including various checks and tests to be carried out
