Is there an assessment? 

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

The object of this course is to motivate participants to actively contribute to a better and safer working environment. The course emphasises preventative measures that can prevent harm to people, the environment and equipment.

This Advanced Laundry Service course is an intensive Learning Experience designed to develop your skills and knowledge in both delivering and managing top-class laundry services onboard, as well as understanding laundry-related topics.

Using this E-Learning course, we help you develop a sound theoretical foundation from which to operate by using online lessons, visuals and an assessment.

Please complete the final assessment to the best of your ability. We will build on your initial work as the course progresses so that by the end of the training, you will have working documents that you can put into action immediately on board!

Innhold

Kurset gjennomføres etter STCW konvensjonens regel VI/2, avsnitt A-VI/2 og tabell A-VI/2-1.

Etter gjennomført kurs skal deltaker ha kunnskap om:

Ta kommando over en redningsfarkost eller mann-over-bord-båt under og etter utsetting

Betjene motor på en redningsfarkost

Håndtere overlevende og redningsfarkost etter evakuering av skipet

Bruke innretninger til å angi posisjon – herunder kommunikasjons- og signalutstyr og lys- og røyksignaler

Gi førstehjelp til overlevende.

Kurset gjennomføres som blandet opplæring, hvor kursets første halvpart gjennomføres som e-læring på egenhånd og i forkant av praksisen på kurssenteret. Mail med link til e-læringen sendes fra Knowledge portal.

Varighet

Kursets varighet er 1 kursdag.

1 kursdag er 8 skoletimer

E-læringen utgjør ca 4 skoletimer og praksisen utgjør ca 4 skoletimer.

1 skoletime er 45 minutt

Innlevering

E-læringen må være 100% gjennomført og bestått i forkant av de praktiske øvelsene på kurssenteret.
