Course Description:- Deck module 1 consists of five lessons; this course focuses on various checks, including checking the general housekeeping, the deck equipment and machinery, the LSA and FFA in general and the emergency preparedness, how to test various associated deck equipment and ensure all the equipment is ready for immediate use. This course will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. Learning Objectives:- At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the aft deck area and will be able to ensure that the aft deck is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out in specific areas like the Garbage holding area, the Ballast treatment plant compartment, the Oxygen acetylene storage and the CO2 room, and will be able to ensure that these areas are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the emergency generator room, and will be able to ensure that the emergency generator compartment is compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out whilst inspecting the aft mooring areas and will be able to ensure that the mooring areas and the machinery therein are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection. · Demonstrate the various general checks that are carried out in the paint locker and sample locker and will be able to ensure that these areas are compliant in all respects and ready for inspection.
