The High-Pressure Blaster is a powerful and efficient tool for preparing surfaces for corrosion maintenance workflows. However, working with the High-Pressure Blaster poses significant risks and requires advanced knowledge compared to other tools. This course is designed to equip you with the necessary skills to use the HP Blaster safely and effectively. By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of how to evaluate your work environment and assess your work to minimise risks. The course is only an introduction to safely working with a HP Blaster, if you have any doubts regarding the safe working or want more information about HP Blasters you are welcome to contact BSO Svendborg.

The course provides knowledge about the structure, operation, applications and usage, maintenance and monitoring of the appropriate tool. The training provides knowledge about the requirements for safe use and operation stipulated in regulations and instructions.

Along with a practical review of the tools, the course meets the requirements for documented training in hazardous work equipment in Regulations concerning the Performance of Work.

- Introduction to general HSE
- Angle grinder
- Hammer drills, jackhammers and combihammers
- Powder actuated gun
- Nail gun
- Saws with blade (includes table saw, crosscut and miter Saw, circular saw, jigsaw and reciprocating saw)
- Chain saw

This course intends to provide seafarers with the knowledge to prevent violence and harassment and respond to it.

This course will help to eliminate violence, harassment and bullying within Shipping Companies and ensure crew’s competence on this matter is aligned with table A-VI/1-4 of STCW.
