Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

This course provides an introduction to the understanding of gas in high risk work situations.  It describes real dangers and explains about the most common types of gas.  The course provides increased understanding and knowledge of elements of risk when working in areas exposed to gas, and knowledge of how best to protect yourself, and others, using proper equipment. Users shall become acquainted with the possibilities and limitations presented by gas measurement equipment, in relevant situations.

This course is designed for all officers of the bridge team involved in ensuring the safe navigation of the vessel.

ECDIS Generic knowledge, as per STCW and IMO Model Course 1.27, is highly recommended

The ""Ship Pollution and IMO Environmental Conventions"" course is an extensive educational program that covers a range of topics related to preventing ship pollution into the marine environment. The course begins by providing an overview of different types of ship pollution and explores the role of MARPOL and other international environmental agencies in mitigating the impact of ship pollution. Participants will learn about MARPOL conventions for preventing ship pollution into the seas, the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation (OPRC), harmful anti-fouling systems on ships, biofouling and ballast water management, liability and compensation, ship recycling, special areas and particularly sensitive sea areas (PSSAs), and noise pollution. The course material is presented in a structured manner, with each topic building on the previous one, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. At the end of the program, participants will be assessed on their understanding of the course material through a final assessment. The course is designed for maritime professionals who wish to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to prevent ship pollution into the marine environment and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
