Ex basic is a course in electrical installations in explosive areas. The aim of the course is that those who work in explosive areas can carry out the work in a safe way.

The course will help users to experience both the course and the work afterwards as motivating and instructive. Our goal is that all employees are motivated to perform a safe and good job. Everyone who undergoes this course will be sufficiently qualified to be able to independently carry out the assignments that are planned with electrical installations within explosive areas.

Duration: Ex course is 8 hours

The recommended maximum time for evaluating competence is 5 years

The E-Learning course can also be taken as a refresher course after 5 years.

Area classification and zoning
Gas groups and the connection between area and equipment
Temperature classes and the relationship between area and equipment
The general principles of type of protection and labeling

Personnel involved in the installation, inspection and selection of equipment in explosive areas. Electrical, automation and other personnel working in or designing electrical installations in explosive areas.

Description of simulator exercise

Following the Introduction to Sewage & Wastewater Treatment e-learning this exercise takes you through the steps to discharge wastewater safely overboard utilising the principles of MARPOL, utilizing the Engine room simulator from Kongsberg Digital.

Who is the course for?

All crew/personnel who are involved in the bunkering of LNG as a fuel.

Is previous experience required?

No previous knowledge is required to complete this course.

How will the course benefit me?

This course will give learners an awareness of LNG bunkering, including the hazards involved and the emergency and firefighting methods and procedures.

Following the Introduction to LNG e-learning, this exercise enables you to carry out the initial actions to connect an LNG bunker barge to a cruise ferry vessel, utilizing the Engine room simulator from Kongsberg Digital.

This course is aimed at all personnel involved in operations involving the use of seals, particularly those who are expected to undertake related duties in the workplace.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

Induction course in HSE is designed so that participants will have the first necessary expertise to ensure safety challenges in their daily work. This occurs in part through increased awareness of what is valuable and should be prioritized. The course also draws attention to the main framework governing the HSE The course is designed in order to create interest and motivation to work with HSE in the workplace.
