Objective: Through a combination of theory and practical training, this course provides participants with the necessary knowledge on how to perform rescue from enclosed spaces.

The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has made major changes to the regulations. People who work in tanks and closed rooms are the biggest difference that the regulation "Work in tanks" has fallen away. This is replaced by section 29 of the regulations «execution of work», which states that all work in closed rooms shall be performed «without danger to life or health». A simple requirement that gives the employer a great deal of responsibility.

New SOLAS requirements: Exercises in closed rooms and rescue, as well as portable gas measuring equipment.

Applies to: All ships covered by SOLAS and all high-speed vessels, mobile offshore drilling units and dynamically positioned vessels

Our courses are in accordance with SOLAS-IMO requirements and the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority - Execution of work

The definitions of a cramped space vary from country to country, but the usual criteria usually include:

- A room that is predominantly or completely closed
- Contains health and / or safety hazards
- Is not designed for continuous stay of employees
- Has entrances or exits that are small or difficult to access
- A room that is large enough that you can enter it completely and perform the work tasks you have been assigned
- Limited air circulation

Personell som skal bruke fallsikringsutstyr, (fallsikringsseler, fangliner, støttebeltesystemer og fallblokker og tilhørende redningsutstyr) skal ha dokumentert praktisk trening og teoretisk opplæring som gir kunnskaper om oppbygging, betjening, bruksegenskaper og bruksområde.

Opplæringen gir kunnskaper om og ferdigheter i forhold risikostyring, fallsikringssystemer, utstyr og metoder samt kontroll og vedlikehold av fallsikringsutstyr.

Hensikt:

Opplæringen gir deltaker en generell forståelse for oppbygging, innhold og bidra til et akseptert sikkerhetsnivå for personell, miljø og materielle verdier i planlegging og utførelse av løfteoperasjoner. Fokus på ansvar og holdninger i utførelsen av løfteoperasjoner.

Målsettingen med kurset er å gi operatører en god teoretisk og praktisk grunnopplæring i NORSOK standard R-003 - N2017.

Objective: To give the person who is to work with a traverse crane knowledge about safe use, daily control and maintenance as well as competence to avoid accidents and incidents.

The authorities set requirements for basic safety certification of persons who are to operate bridge and overhead cranes. The requirements include both theoretical and practical training

G4 Bridge and Traverse Crane Basic course consists of modules 2.7 and 3.7. To complete the course, you must take and pass a theoretical exam.

Proper use of overhead cranes is of great importance for the safety of crane operators and other personnel who participate in lifting operations. Incorrect assessments can have major consequences and lead to serious injuries to the crane driver, other personnel as well as equipment and surroundings. Positive attitudes towards safety are therefore important during training.

The crane driver training for G4 consists of five modules:

- Module 1.1 working environment, responsibilities and consequences. *
- Module 2.3 G11 Lifting gear (strap and sling).
- Module 2.7 G4 bridge and overhead crane
- Module 3.7 Basic practical training G4
- Module 4.7 Practical driving training G4
- Practical Final test G4

* Module 1.1 is common to machine, forklift and crane. If you can not document that you have module 1.1 from before that is not older than 3 years, this must be taken again.

Module 4.7 can be completed in a company using a sponsorship arrangement. If you do not have the opportunity to do so, you can participate in one of STQ's practice courses.

Bruk av fastmontert kran til forflytning av last krever kontinuerlig fokus på farer og sikkerhet i operasjonen. Risikoforståelse og riktig atferd er viktig under læreprosessen, slik at sikkerheten til involvert personell ivaretas. Etter gjennomført læretiltak skal deltakeren være i stand til å utføre sikre løfteoperasjoner ved bruk av fastmontert kran.

Hensikt:

Opplæringen gir elevene god innsikt i prinsippene for kraners konstruksjon, virkemåte, vedlikehold og bruk, slik at uhell og ulykker i forbindelse med løfteoperasjoner unngås.

Hva lærer du på G5 kurset, modul P-3.1?

Etter fullført kurs vil du ha solid kunnskap om:

Regulatorisk rammeverk: Forståelse for "Aktivitetsforskriften" og "Forskrift om utførelse av arbeid" som styrer offshore kranoperasjoner.

Industristandarder: Dybdekunnskap om sentrale europeiske (EN 13852-1 & 2) og norske (NORSOK R-002 & R-003N) standarder for design, tekniske krav og sikker bruk av offshorekraner.

Drift og begrensninger: Kunnskap om kranens operasjonelle egenskaper, krefter som påvirker løftet, og begrensninger knyttet til vær og sjøgang.

Planlegging og risikoforståelse: Hvordan planlegge og risikovurdere komplekse løfteoperasjoner for å sikre trygg utførelse.

Hvem passer G5, modul P-3.1 kurset for?

Dette kurset er for deg som skal bli sertifisert operatør av G5 Offshorekran. Kurset er et lovpålagt krav for personell som skal betjene offshorekraner i norsk petroleumsvirksomhet og er det andre steget i teoridelen av opplæringsløpet.

Krav til forkunnskaper for G5 kurset, modul P-3.1

• Modul 1 – Grunnleggende HMS og modul 2.3 G11 Løfteredskap (Stropp-/ og anhuker).

• Modul P-2.1 G20 Fastmontert hydraulisk kran teori. Denne modulen må være bestått før du kan starte på P-3.1.

Deltagere må være minst 18 år gamle for å få utstedt kompetansebeviset. Opplæringen kan imidlertid starte når du har fylt 17 år.

NB! Modul P-3.1 må være gjennomført før man kan starte på den praktiske opplæringen i modul P-4.1 (simulator) og P-4.1.1 (praksis).

Kursinformasjon for G5 kurset, modul P-3.1

Varighet: 24 timer (3 dager).

Form: Teoretisk undervisning med avsluttende prøve.

Sertifisering: Etter bestått kurs mottar du kursbevis som dokumenterer at du har fullført den obligatoriske teoridelen for G5 Offshorekran, som er et steg mot fullt kompetansebevis.

Who is the G5, module P-3.1 course suitable for?

This course is for those who want to become certified operators of G5 offshore cranes. The course is a legal requirement for personnel who will operate offshore cranes in the Norwegian petroleum industry and is the second step in the theoretical part of the training program.

Prerequisites for the G5 course, module P-3.1

Module 1 – Basic HSE (health, safety and environment)

Module 2.3 – G11 Lifting Equipment (Sling/and Hooks).

Module P-2.1 – G20 Fixed Hydraulic Crane Theory. This module must be passed before you can start P-3.1.

Participants must be at least 18 years old to be issued with the certificate of competence. However, training can begin once you have reached the age of 17.

NB! Module P-3.1 must be completed before you can start the practical training in modules P-4.1 (simulator) and P-4.1.1 (practice).

Course information for the G5 course, module P-3.1

Duration: 24 hours (3 days).

Format: Theoretical instruction with final exam.

Certification: After passing the course, you will receive a course certificate documenting that you have completed the mandatory theory portion for G5 Offshore Crane, which is a step toward full certification.

Content:
The training shall provide a general understanding of structure and content and contribute to an accepted level of safety for personnel, the environment, and material assets in the planning and execution of lifting operations. At the same time, special emphasis will be placed on responsibility and attitudes in the execution of lifting operations.

The course will provide participants with factual knowledge about the content of Norsok standards R-002 and R-003 and how the standards should be understood in relation to the planning, execution, and evaluation of lifting operations. The course will also contribute to developing attitudes, understanding of risk, and the importance of safety aspects and focus in lifting operations. NORSOK R-003 is a standard that everyone working offshore must follow. The standard shall contribute to establishing, maintaining, and further developing an acceptable level of safety for personnel, the environment, and material assets when planning and executing lifting operations in the petroleum industry.

Exam/certification:
A theoretical test to verify that the candidate has achieved the course objectives. A course certificate will be issued to each candidate who has completed and passed the training. The course certificate will contain information about the training location, course content, date of completion, the candidate's name and date of birth, and will be signed by the general manager/course coordinator.

Validity:
In accordance with the company's internal control system.
