In the first part of this course, you will setup the essentials for your coding journey. You will start by mastering the installation of Python, configuring your development environment in Visual Studio Code, and executing Python scripts for your Pong game. This foundational knowledge will serve as the bedrock for your coding adventure, equipping you with the tools necessary to delve deeper into the world of programming. Following this, you will delve into an exploration of ChatGPT, gaining valuable insights into its functionality and potential applications within the realms of AI-driven learning and game development. Discover how ChatGPT can revolutionise game creation by assisting in game generation, providing guidance, and enhancing gameplay dynamics, paving the way for your upcoming Pong game project. If you are curious about prompt engineering or coding as a hobby or career this course is for you.

It is highly recommended to take these courses in order. There are two other courses that should be taken prior to taking this training, these are Table Setting and Food Service Skills Part 1 and Part 2.

With the gameplay mechanics in place, you'll turn your attention to improving the AI player code, refining its decision-making process and enhancing its ability to strategise and compete against human players. You'll learn how to iterate on your code and implement optimisations to create a more formidable opponent. Finally, you'll code the end screen for the game, adding features.
