The course is based on the NORSOK standard R-002 Lifting equipment, and covers technical requirements for lifting appliances and accessories for all fixed and floating installations, mobile units, barges and ships, as well as the land-based facility where petroleum operations performed.Through participation in this course will gain increased knowledge and understanding of the interpretation and application of NORSOK R-002 standard. The course aims to provide a practical insight into the use of standard.

The purpose of this training is to give drivers who use working equipment, order no. 703  “Regulations on work preformance, use of  working equipment” a good general basic training in safe use so that accidents are avoided.

Only personnel who have documented rigger training may perform rigging operations.  This course provides a basic review and update of knowledge of rigging operations in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.

Innhold

Kurset gjennomføres i henhold til STCW-konvensjonens regel VI, del A kapittel VI, tabell A-VI 2-1, 3-1 og 4-1 og omfatter teoretisk og praktisk opplæring innen:

Redningsfarkoster

Ta kommando over en redningsfarkost eller mann-over-bord-båt under og etter utsetting

Betjene motor på en redningsfarkost

Håndtere overlevende og redningsfarkost etter evakuering av skipet

Bruke innretninger til å angi posisjon, herunder kommunikasjons- og signalutstyr og lys- og røyksignaler

Gi førstehjelp til overlevende

Brannslokkingsledelse

Lede brannslokkingsoperasjoner ombord på skip

Organisere og lære opp brannlag

Inspisere og vedlikeholde anlegg og utstyr for branndeteksjon og brannslokking

Undersøke hendelser som involverer brann og utarbeide rapporter om disse

Medisinsk førstehjelp

Gi førstehjelp omgående i tilfelle av ulykke eller sykdom ombord

Varighet

Kursets varighet er 10 dager (undervisningsfri lørdag og søndag)

1 kursdag er 8 skoletimer

1 skoletime er 45 minutt

The training is designed to give competence in:

Search and rescue

Use of extinguishing agents

Protective equipment

After completing the training, the participant must be able to:

conduct search and rescue operations with the correct use of extinguishing and protective equipment

use the correct extinguishing and protective equipment to extinguish a fire

use protective and breathing equipment correctly and conduct safety checks of the equipment

Duration:

Duration of the course is 2 days.

E-learning that takes approx 1.5 hours can be completed at home before course start

1 course day is 8 hours with minimum 6 hours effective training

1 hour is 60 minutter

The final course day finishes at approx 13:30.

Kurset går inn på de personlige egenskaper og reaksjoner ved en krisesituasjon. Bruk og forståelse av alarmplaner er en vesentlig faktor i kurset.

Alle sjøfolk som er ansatt eller engasjert i en hvilken som helst stilling om bord på roro-passasjerskip og andre passasjerskip, og som er tildelt plikter i beredskaps- eller sikkerhetsfunksjon.

Krav til forkunnskap: Det er ingen krav til forkunnskap, men du må bestå en e-lærings del før du kan fullføre siste del av kurset.

Læremål: Etter kurset skal deltakeren kunne demonstrere kompetanse gitt i STCW kodens avsnitt A-V/2 og tabell A-V/2 kolonne 1.

Kurset er i henhold til: STCW-78, med endringer (inkl. 2010 Manila-endringene)

Varighet: 9 timer klasserom + e-læringsmodul
