Welcome to the training on ways of Preventing & Managing Violence in Customer Facing Roles Such as Healthcare, Retail, Social Services and others. Research shows that healthcare workers are at the highest risk for workplace violence. This is followed by roles that involve handling cash such as standalone retail outlets with single cashiers. Further studies and analysis of workplace violence by OSHA and ILO show that workplace violence incidents are preventable. 

To put this in perspective, 50% of the overall 2 million reported cases each year involve healthcare workers.

This course will give you an understanding of the four key stages of the Learning Cycle, as well as providing you with insights into how you can apply the stages to your own learning and development projects.

Not long ago, conducting sales appointments without the product and salesperson being physically present was considered difficult, if not impossible. The meetings were happening face-to-face and made up most of the salesforce. People were habituated to the salesperson visiting the client to discuss vital topics and review the sales catalog. But this system changed at the onset of the global pandemic. From 2020 till the end of 2021, most sales teams worked virtually. People got accustomed to meeting on video calls and seeing products through product demo videos. This switch happened in every industry, and it is expected to stay for a long time.

The object of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to control and coordinate the available resources at the site in an actual emergency, and to act as a liaison with the central emergency control room on the installation in order to save and protect people's lives and health, limit damage to the environment and safeguard material assets.

Section 3-5 of the Working Environment Act requires every organisation’s most senior manager to be able to document training in HSE work. This obligation is personal and may not be delegated, and the completed training must be documented in writing.
The HSE course for managers provides an introduction to the most important aspects of the HSE work, and is undertaken in accordance with the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority’s guidelines for this type of training. A course certificate is issued upon completion of the course in order to fulfil the written documentation requirement.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

How will the course benefit me?

Transporting dangerous goods by air has the potential to cause significant harm to people, property and the environment. By following the Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), you will significantly decrease the risks and be able to transport such goods safely. 

How will the course benefit my company?

All personnel are required to undertake competence-based DGR training relevant to their function. This course provides introductory-level awareness in the IATA training framework for personnel involved with helicopter operations.

Assessment Details

Course assessment with an 80% pass mark and 2 attempts.

In this course, we will go through a 5-minute yoga workout together with our instructor.
