Welcome to the course on Effective Planning, Communication & Implementation of Occupation Health & Safety Programs for Managers. According to the International Labor Organization, each year, 2.78 million workers die from occupational accidents and work-related diseases and an additional 374 million workers suffer from non-fatal occupational accidents. Occupational accidents and diseases result in a 4% loss of global GDP annually. In the U.S., there are 13 worker deaths each day. In 2020, 4764 worker deaths were reported across the United States. The occupations of transportation and material moving, construction and extraction roles accounted for nearly half of all fatal occupational injuries. As managers and supervisors in high-risk industries, you play an important role in ensuring that health and safety rules are being followed at all times. This involves a number of pre-incident checks and procedures that must be followed.

In this course you will learn:

- The definition of Occupation Health and Safety

- The role of Managers and Supervisors in leading Health and Safety Programs in an organization

- Importance of development, effective communication and implementation of programs.

Despite efforts to foster equality, gender microaggressions persist in the workplace. One of the reasons for the continued gender inequality might be rooted in the fact that discrimination has transformed into subtler forms, which are more difficult to detect and hence go unreported. But this subtle gender discrimination can be as detrimental as overt discrimination. In the case of subtle gender microaggressions, females or marginalized groups tend to internalize the experience and perceive it as their own shortcoming. Hence, microaggressions might be even more stressful than overt discrimination for the target, as it negatively affects cognitive functioning, leading to higher levels of stress, anxiety, and insecurity.

This training is meant for:

  • Business Leaders
  • Business Consultants
  • Entrepreneurs
  • Trainers
  • HR Executives
  • Anyone interested in learning about microaggressions

The modern workplace is often thought of as a strictly professional, rational, logical environment. Cooperation is key--personal opinions and emotions must be put aside in the name of teamwork, which may be easier said than done! No one can expect to connect with fellow colleagues the way they do their own friends or family members. One crossed word or bad mood can damage corporate relations, sometimes irreparably. The uncertainty of the business environment of today, and resulting stress that follows only adds to the pressure workers feel in performing their level best. Feeling overworked and overwhelmed is natural in the workplace, especially when it comes to dealing with change.   The purpose of this course is to illustrate ways you can overcome the emotional barriers you may face in the workplace. This course will guide you through various exercises and give you tips to help you manage your emotions at work so you can perform to the best of your abilities.
