Upon successful completion of this online training, you should be able to

- fit UCF® FireCore and FPS® In-mask Display charging cradles,

- install and remove Quick-Adapter FPS® in the FPS® 7000 respiratory interface,

- attach Smart Adapters to helmets,

- download stored images and videos from the thermal imaging camera,

- replace the battery and optics of the FPS® In-mask Display,

- replace buttons for unlocking the thermal imaging camera, and

- properly store and inspect all components.Contents of this training module include

- Preparing charging cradles, mask adapters and helmet adapters,

- Downloading images and videos,

- Replacing the optics and batteries of the FPS® In-mask Display,

- replacement of the buttons for unlocking the thermal imaging camera,

- proper storage and regular inspection of the Dräger UCF® FireCore and the

FPS® In-mask Display.

Course Goal: This course provides learners with an awareness of the hazards involved in working at height and gives an overview of the OSHA requirements in relation to working at height and fall protection

Learning Objectives:

LO1 Identify when fall protection is required

LO2 Identify the legislative and regulatory requirements for fall protection that help to control work at height

LO3 Explain the duties that are placed on employers and employees

LO4 Describe the hazards involved in working at height

LO5 Explain the importance of planning and risk assessment

LO6 Describe the hierarchy of control for managing and selecting fall protection equipment 

LO7 Identify the factors that should be considered when assessing fall protection methods

LO8 Describe the main methods of access for working at height and give examples of the different types of fall protection equipment

LO9 Describe the rules for working with ladders

LO10 Describe the rules for working with scaffolds

LO11 Explain the importance of inspecting equipment

LO12 Explain how to correctly use a safety harness

Gjøre rede for redningstjenestens og myndighetenes rolle og ansvar ved hendelser og ulykker

Undervisningen vil være en kombinasjon av foredrag, diskusjonsoppgaver og praktiske øvelser.

Contents of this online training on the Dräger Parat® 1260 escape filter device

include

- field of application,

- inspection,

- opening of the housing and barrier bag, and

- donning.

The online training closes with a short quiz.

This online training covers, among other things, the following contents on the

half masks of the Dräger X-plore® series:

- Design and function

- Preparation for use

- Donning and doffing

- After use

During this online training you will learn all the necessary steps to prepare and

assemble/disassemble the Dräger FPS®-COM 7000 in combination with an

FPS® 7000.

Kurset gir deltakerne kompetanse til å:

- Overleve til sjøs i tilfeller der skipet må forlates (tabell VI/1-1)
- Minimalisere risikoen for brann og opprettholde beredskap for å håndtere nødsituasjoner som involverer brann. Bekjempe og slokke branner (tabell VI/1-2)
- Handle omgående ved kjennskap til en ulykke eller annen medisinsk nødsituasjon (tabell VI/1-3).
- Følge nødprosedyrer. Ta forholdsregler for å hindre forurensning av det marine miljøet. Følge trygge arbeidsrutiner. Forstå ordrer og bli forstått i relasjon til plikter om bord på skip. Bidra til gode menneskelige relasjoner om bord på skip (tabell VI/1-4)

Kursinnhold

Kurset inneholder obligatoriske minstekrav til grunnleggende sikkerhetsopplæring for alle sjøfolk i henhold til STCW konvensjonen og består av 4 deler:
- Personlige redningsteknikker (tabell A-VI/1-1)
- Forebyggende brannvern og brannslokking (tabell A-VI/1-2)
- Grunnleggende førstehjelp (tabell A-VI/1-3) 
- Personlig sikkerhet og omsorg for menneskeliv og miljø (tabell A-VI/1-4)
