Busan is the second-largest and (most populous) city in South Korea, with a population of approximately 3.4 million people. The beaches, mountains, and temples of Busan are well-known. Gwangalli Beach, views of the contemporary Diamond Bridge, Haeundae Beach, Geumjeong Mountain, as well as a Folk Square are the prime tourist sites of Busan.

The life of a seafarer is by no means easy. Seafarers spend months at a time away from their loved ones. Needless to say, once the ship docks in port, many seafarers will often attempt to take some shore leave for a limited number of hours to provide them with a short respite from work duties and a change in scenery. This is extremely important to ensure the mental health and wellbeing of the seafarers.

In this course, we will provide you with all the information you need to know to spend a day in Busan.

The climate is changing faster than expected, making it the most severe issue our generation confronts. But, according to the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, we are not helpless in the face of this global threat. In September 2019, he said that “the fight against the climate emergency is a race we are losing, but it is a race we can win”.

In this course, you will learn more about the climate crisis and how we as individuals can contribute to making this better.

The training shall provide competence in:

Weather reporting, communication and routines

Dangerous goods

Aviation fuel

Emergency situations and normal operations on helicopter decks

Fire practice

Protective equipment

After completing the training, the participant must be able to;

Use the helideck manual

Carry out communication and weather reporting by helicopter

Handle dangerous goods

Describe and perform inspections of the fuel system

Perform HLO's tasks in emergency situations and normal operations on helicopter decks

Use the appropriate extinguishing agent to extinguish a fire

Use protective equipment and smokediver equipment

Duration:

Duration of the course is 2 days.

1 day is 8 hours with a minimum of 6 hours of effective training

1 hour is 60 minutes

Submission:

The e-learning must be completed before the practical training.
