WP & SJA provides a basic introduction for all personnel working offshore on the Norwegian continental shelf. The course consists of two main parts,  WP; Work Permit and SJA; Safe Job Analysis.

The course has been developed using the guidelines 088 and 090 owned by Offshore Norge.

Who is this course for?

All personnel ashore, onboard and on offshore installations that interact with computer systems.

Exam in Trainingportal with 70% pass mark with two attempts.

This is course is aimed at all personnel involved in enclosed space entry work.

Yes - The course has an assessment with a 70% pass mark and 2 attempts.

Who is this course for?

All personnel who require basic personal survival knowledge and/or refreshed on the topic.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course. 

How will this course benefit me?

This course gives the learner a basic understanding of the correct behaviour in the event of emergency and an overview of the different types of rescue craft, life rafts, and lifeboats as well as personal lifesaving appliances and emergency alert devices.

The course is based upon the STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1).

Is there an assessment?

Once you have completed the course, you will be asked a series of questions to check your knowledge and understanding. These are based on the learning objectives for the course and have a pass mark of 80%.

The course provides training in HSE and safe work in central operations for the supplier industry and shipyards. The course is a collaboration between Aker Solutions, Aibel, Rosenberg Worley and The Federation of Norwegian Industries.

Objective:

Everyone who is going to enter and perform work at the shipyards must have a basic training in HSE. This course provides such training.

Course Content:

Laws and regulations, access and security, protective equipment, working environment factors, external environment, and risk understanding are described.
Central work tasks and risks in these are dealt with. These are lift and rig operations, falling objects, barriers and signs, hand and finger safety, work over sea, hot work, welding and torch cutting, electrical work, work with industrial gas, pressure testing and pipe flushing, high-pressure washing, and more.

The principles in Life-saving rules are described and referred to in the work operations.

Who is the course for?

Everyone who is going to perform work at the shipyards. All personnel in the yard industry.

Who is the course for?

All Maritime personnel.

You do not need prior knowledge or experience to complete this course and it is assumed that you are competent in your designated role.

How will the course benefit me?

This course will give you an understanding of why, when and where personal protective equipment (PPE) should be worn. The knowledge gained in this course will help you to stay safe in your day-to-day activities and if you are required to carry out a task using specialised PPE. It will also indicate your responsibilities for taking care of PPE.

By ensuring you are fully aware of how different items of PPE protect you, you can take appropriate precautions to avoid injury while working. This will help to reduce incidents at your workplace and to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Taking action to identify and mitigate the risks of mental health problems is just as important as mitigating physical risks. This course is designed to build awareness of the potential issues and how to deal with them.

The course will raise awareness of mental health issues and help guide personnel in preventing, understanding, spotting and helping address mental health issues in themselves and colleagues.
