In this course, we will learn all about Napkin Folding. We will briefly examine the history of table linen, table cloths and napkins, and a set of videos will follow showing you how to make 12 different Napkin Folds.

This Advanced Laundry Service course is an intensive Learning Experience designed to develop your skills and knowledge in both delivering and managing top-class laundry services onboard, as well as understanding laundry-related topics.

 

Using this E-Learning course, we help you develop a sound theoretical foundation from which to operate by using online lessons, visuals and an assessment.

We will help you develop a sound theoretical foundation from which to operate by using online learning courses, videos and assessment as required. We will evaluate your level of skill and ability in housekeeping and by the end of the training, you will have increased your knowledge and have ‘working documents' that you can put into action immediately onboard!

The appreciation of fine cigars, like the appreciation of wines, is a unique form of art. First, the definition of a fine cigar: a fine cigar is handmade using only 100% tobacco. Nothing matches the centuries-old culture of cultivating cigar tobacco or the massive amount of time the tobacco farmer and cigar maker puts into creating a fine cigar. Very few things in the world are known almost without question to be the best of their kind. At the heart of a good cigar is the tobacco and its taste.

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know about cigars. Magnums Academy instructor Josephine Ive will share her passion for cigars and will take you through a brief history of cigars, tobacco plantations, the various regions and different shapes and sizes. Josephine will also discuss how to serve a cigar, how to present it, what to serve it with, the importance of cutting the cigar properly and how to light it up, and the necessary conditions for storing cigars. Magnums Academy has also kindly provided a glossary of the most critical key terms so that you can communicate effectively with cigar shops, your guest cigar smoker and other cigar smokers.

We will also evaluate your level of skill and ability in Valet Services training through video and photo assignments which will be assessed against strict criteria as laid out by the IAMI GUEST Syllabus. This course will also include a type of pre-assessment before the start of the actual courses. It is designed to give us insight into a current level of knowledge and ability at the beginning of the course. We recommend you complete each lesson to the best of your ability. Is previous experience required?

It is highly recommended to take these courses in order. There is one course that should be taken before you proceed with this training. This is Table Setting and Food Service Skills Part. Following this training, there is also Table Setting and Food Service Skills Part 3.

Welcome to the Magnums Method™ for 7 Star Service for Butlers, Table Setting and Food Service Skills, part 2. In Part 1 we covered the Introduction to Service; we now move on to Part 2: Preparing for Service. Introductory Note: In this lesson, you will go through an introductory note from the author, a short history of butlers and an introduction to this course. Food and Menus: In this lesson, you will explore menus, different types of foods and specialist food terminology. Table Settings: In this lesson, you will learn different aspects of table setting.

These and other topics covered by this course will ensure that you are well prepared and knowledgeable to the extent that you can start evolving your style as a professional Butler!

This Advanced Laundry Service course is an intensive Learning Experience designed to develop your skills and knowledge in both delivering and managing top-class laundry services onboard, as well as understanding laundry-related topics.
