This course provides maritime leaders and safety professionals with a step-by-step framework to design, implement, and sustain a Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program onboard vessels. Through real shipboard examples and observation tools, participants learn how to apply the ABC model (Antecedent–Behavior–Consequence), conduct behavioral observations, and use reinforcement and feedback to build a proactive safety culture. The course integrates leadership, human factors, and data analysis to reduce unsafe acts, strengthen communication, and sustain long-term improvements in safety performance.
