Description:
Upon completing this course, the candidate will understand the rudder's characteristics and their correct use in manoeuvring. The learning outcomes of the course will include an introduction to ""The Rudders"", how the rudders work, steering gear room, autopilot and navigation chart, rudder types, the manoeuvrability of a ship, the turning circle, emergency manoeuvre and the rudder in the practice of the manoeuvre.
