All staff on vessels subject to the IGF Code.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

• Fuel and fuel systems

• Risks associated with ship operation

• Risk management

• Safe routines and work methods

• Firefighting theory

• PPE (personal protection equipment) and respiratory protective equipment

• Handling of leakage, spills, and ventilation of fuels

 

How will the course benefit my company? 

By introducing personnel to the International Code of Safety for Ships Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code). This course is developed in accordance with IMO’s STCW Code section A-V/3.1

Is there an assessment? 

Yes - Course assessment with a 70% pass mark and two attempts
