Items that must be sterilized are those that have contact with body tissues or bodily fluids and have the potential to transmit disease to a second patient. Health organizations must sterilize instruments and devices prior to patient use. This course is intended for medical professionals who interact with patients and provide immediate sterilization of instruments and devices.
