Course Description:-

This course consists of 2 modules. It explains the step-by-step process involved in making a risk assessment and the various terminology like risk level, severity, likelihood etc. This must be viewed in conjunction with your SMS, company generic and ship-specific risk assessment manual.

This course also serves as a refresher training before any inspection and, in turn, will boost the candidate's confidence.  

Learning Objectives:-

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to

1) Explain what a risk is and the difference between critical jobs and routine jobs.

2) Explain the risk level by checking the severity and the likeliness

3) Explain the importance of making a risk assessment ship specific 

4) Explain the additional control measures which need to be taken to reduce risk levels. 

5) Have self-confidence and self-assurance while dealing with third-party inspectors and answering questions related to risk assessments.
