Course Description:-

This course uses a gamified approach and has 4 modules; it is important you do this from the start; this course will improve your problem-solving and analytical skills.  

You will be trained to find various potential findings and best practices during a pre-inspection in the engine room.   

Most importantly, this module deals with the real situations on board and focuses on practical issues, which all engineers can relate to and remember so that they can use these solutions in the future.

Various good practices, compliance with procedures and other positive observations are explained with the help of a photo and side notes, which in turn will help the brain to look for not only potential findings but also positive observations. 

How to ensure all the equipment is ready for immediate use. This module will also show you the most frequent checks and tests carried out by various inspectors and auditors. 

 

Learning Objectives:-

At the end of this module, the candidate will be able to, 

1) Explain the various safety gear and PPE to be worn in the Engine room

2) Spot good practices in the engine room

3) Explain what reverse mentoring is 

4) List various potential findings that could be picked up by third-party inspectors.

5) Analyse an incident or accident on board, how to ask questions, and how to develop a keen ear for listening. 

6) Have self-confidence and self-assurance while dealing with third-party inspectors and answering questions related to safety in the engine room.
