Description:

Course Description:-

This course consists of 7 modules, including an evaluation at the end.

The Sire2.0 awareness course has been meticulously designed to include all the new changes that have come into the Sire 2.0 regime.

A comparison between the VIQ7 and the Sire2.0 is made so the candidates will clearly recognise how the new Sire 2.0 regime is stronger, more efficient and more reliable compared to the VIQ7.

It focuses on the training needs of seafarers and managers and the gap analysis which needs to be carried out so managers can update their SMS to be in line with Sire 2.0

The module explains the “Tablet”, which will be used by the inspectors, and the do’s and don'ts that go with it. It also explains the repositories, the Pre-inspection questionnaire and the various categories of questions.

The hands-on workshop will help to understand the implications of observations under SIRE 2.0, and it also integrates the human element.

The performance influencing factors are explained in detail, and the importance of positive observations is stressed.

It explains TMSA element 14 and how companies must consider human elements and effectively include this in the SMS.

This course serves as a reminder to ensure all procedures, documentation, and equipment are ready and up to date prior to a Sire inspection.
